If you are reading these acknowledgments, you are
probably looking for your name and for some nice
things that I might have said about you. Or, you
may be interested in seeing who is on my “thank
you” list for helping me with this book. Well, many
people have helped me with this work, as well as
with my photography career. If you are one of
them, I hope I remembered to properly thank you
in this section. If you don’t see your name here,
please drop me an email and remind me of my

The guy who made this book happen was Steve
Weiss, executive editor at O’Reilly. Working on
any creative endeavor is never easy, but Steve
manned the helm for smooth sailing over the
course of producing this book.
My editor at O’Reilly, Audrey Doyle, not only
caught all my typos, but also kept track of all the
words and pictures and molded them into what
you see here as easy-to-follow lessons. Not an easy
task, to be sure.
James Duncan Davidson was the tech editor on
this book. Hey, I never met the guy, but he caught
some technical stuff that I missed, which saved
me from writing the reader a “sorry for the mistake”
note on my blog.
